Long-range reporting through Top Articles Custom Reports

If you need engagement data beyond the standard 30-day report, that information is accessible from the Reports page.

Click “Run New Report” in the top right and select the “Top Articles Custom Report” from the standard report builder interface, as below.

Through this report, you can query engagement data up to 13 months back. The report also:

• Supports variable start and end dates
• Has double the items of a standard report
• Can be filtered by section/source/author

In this way, a user planning to cover the Oscars can research the engagement of entertainment articles the prior year and help them know what to create and what to skip.

As the report is a much larger dataset, selecting “Save” will launch the query. The job usually takes between 15 and 30 minutes to complete, depending on the size of the report. You will be emailed and alerted when it is available. The report will be attached to the email as a CSV, or it can be downloaded directly from Newsroom.
